It’s raining on Saturday. Listen for the new meeting place and time, then notice what Ken offers to do before Yuki gets there.
Take this lesson one step at a time. Try each quick check before revealing its answer, then take the quiz. Add vocabulary and grammar to your reviews to practise them over time.
On Saturday morning, Ken and Yuki settle on the cinema.
Tap a line to hear it. Shadow mode leaves a gap after each line — repeat it aloud, then hear it again. Don’t worry about being perfect; worry about being out loud.
Eleven is their meeting time at the cinema entrance. Eleven thirty is when the film starts. That leaves time for a drink.
V-て + おく
Do something now because of something later — preparation. 予約しておきます means you book ahead so it's sorted. It can also mean leaving something alone deliberately: そのままにしておいてください. Casual speech contracts it to 〜とく (やっとく).

Use the dictionary form before 前に. 映画を見る前に means "before watching the film". Use the た-form before 後で. 映画を見た後で means "after watching the film". These forms show the order of the two actions. You still say 見る前に when telling someone what you did yesterday.
